Dr Shashi Bhuthoji


Shashi qualified as a Doctor in 1981, and worked extensively abroad before moving to New Zealand in 1994. She completed her Vocational Training in General Practice in 1999 and is a Fellow of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners. She has diplomas in Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology and is currently furthering her experience in Dermoscopy and Surgical techniques for skin cancer and melanomas.

Shashi enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has particular interest in Women’s Health, Preventative Medical and Skin Cancer diagnosis and surgery.

Shashi loves the outdoors – hiking, travelling, gardening, as well as books and music.

Shashi is available for consultations on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. She does a late evening on Monday and Thursday.


Dr Steven Hall

Steve qualified in 1998 MBBS London University. He arrived in New Zealand from the UK in 2007. He enjoys all aspects of General Practice. Leisure passions are movies, sport and travel. Steve is available for consultations on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.


Dr Sheryl Howarth
MBChB, Dip Sports Med, FRNZCGP


Sheryl qualified in 1993 MbCHB (Otago). She has a post graduate diploma in sports medicine (Auckland) and an interest in dive medicine and hyperbaric treatment.

She has been practicing family medicine since 1997 and enjoys all aspects of general practice . She is passionate about aiming for excellence for your medical care.

Her extracurricular interests include cycling, swimming, diving and spending time with her six children

Sheryl is available for consultations on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday


Dr. David Raubenheimer

David has worked in Browns Bay since 1995. He is an experienced GP with an interest in all aspects of family medicine, particularly child health, diagnosis of skin lesions and care of older people. He joined Browns Bay Family Doctors in 2013, having previously operated his surgery across the road at 64 Clyde Road.

He was trained in South Africa and moved to New Zealand in 1978. After a period in Taupo he moved to Auckland. He spent many years at North Shore Hospice and works part-time doing geriatric medicine at Freeling Holt Private Hospital in Waiake. He is a fellow of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners.


Dr Lynne Potter
MBChB, B.Sc., Dip. Obst., FRNZCGP


Lynne has really enjoyed being part of the Browns Bay Family Doctors team since she joined in 1993. Over that time she has felt privileged to work with such a dedicated support team, and enjoys the wide variety within general practice across all age groups.

Having trained in Auckland she has a Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, is married with three children (who have provided an additional source of education!) and enjoys being active, handcrafts, and spending time with family and friends.

Lynne is available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
