Our Philosophy
“We aim to provide you and your family with the highest standard of health care without losing old fashion values”.

Browns Bay Family Doctors would like to welcome you and your family to our practice and look forward to meeting you. We see enrolled patients as well as casual patients and visitors. As a new patient your first consultation will be a half hour appointment so please ensure you advise Reception when booking.

All of our doctors are currently enrolling new patients. As an enrolled patient you will receive government subsidised visits as well as access to other programmes and services. We are affiliated with Comprehensive Care providing us with support for capitation enabling us to provide free consultations to enrolled under 14yrs, along with other healthcare programs.

To enrol with us simply print the Enrolment Form and Medical Questionnaire , complete all three pages and send it back to us with your proof of eligibility, for example your New Zealand Passport, New Zealand Birth Certificate (AND two forms of proof that you are the person on the birth certificate, one being photo ID), or Resident Visa.

If you are not an New Zealand citizen you may not be eligible for government subsidised care. However, non-eligible patients are able to register and access full medical care for an unsubsidised fee.

You can also find the criteria at the Ministry of Health website – if you are not an New Zealand citizen, we recommend that you read this as you may still be eligible. If you are not a NZ citizen please bring your passport and your visa(s).

Alternatively visit the practice where one of our friendly admin staff will assist you.

Are you OK??

At the top right of our page is a green and white computer screen you can click on. If you need help but are worried about repercussions from a controlling or abusive partner, this is a safe way to find it.

With The Shielded Site, victims of domestic violence can access a shielded portal through which they can contact Women’s Refuge to find out how to make a plan to safely get out of a dangerous situation, learn how to stay safe online and get answers to questions about what comes next – all without fear of it showing up in the browser history for anyone else to find.
